Our Capitol Hardware operation is on the move.
In November, Leggett's Capitol Hardware operations moved from Niles, Michigan across the state line to Middlebury, Indiana. While the distance between the two locations is relatively short, the relocation goes a long way in improving the efficiency and economy Leggett is able to achieve.
The move consolidates Capitol Hardware's operations with those of its sister organization, Syndicate Store Fixtures, in the latter's existing 1.8 million square-foot facility.
The benefits of this move extend well beyond more efficient utilization of space, however, taking advantage of synergies between the two companies. The combined staffs of Capitol and Syndicate, for instance, will offer a greater depth and breadth of support, experience and expertise to each organization and all of our clients.
Though there may be opportunities to create additional efficiencies in areas such as processing and order picking, it's important to note that Capitol will continue to be operated as a separate and distinct business.
Capitol's management and marketing will stay the course, continuing to focus on the quality and service that has made it a premier provider of hardware in the fixturing business. And customers can be confident that Capitol will continue to deliver:
- Consistent, high-quality product
- A good-better-best selection
- Finished goods in a fraction of the time that it takes competitors
- The capability to cut custom lengths and apply custom finishes and deliver in just 3 to 4 weeks
- Economic choices in imported hardware, garment racks, signage and other retail merchandising fixtures
In addition, Capitol will launch a new e-commerce site to help make ordering faster and more efficient. Look for this new transactional site to go live later in 2010. We’ll also send you information on this exciting new web resource when it’s completed.
Though it has a new web site in the works and a new location for its operations, Capitol Hardware remains the one place to go for the best in fixturing hardware.
